Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Mapfrens, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and all referenced policies.

Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old. Users aged 13–17 should only use Mapfrens with permission from a parent or guardian.
• Provide accurate registration details and keep credentials secure.
• Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations, abuse, or legal/compliance reasons.

User Responsibilities

• Use Mapfrens lawfully and respectfully.
• You are responsible for your content, your interactions, and any carrier/data charges.
• Do not rely on Mapfrens for safety, emergency, navigation, or life-critical purposes.

Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines

Prohibited conduct includes: harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, stalking, impersonation, spamming, commercial solicitation, sharing illegal/obscene/violent content, scraping, reverse engineering, overloading or disrupting services, distributing malware, phishing, doxxing, or collecting others' data without consent. Respect blocks and do not circumvent them.

Location-Based Features (Disclaimers)

• Location sharing is optional and user-controlled. Accuracy may vary or be delayed.
• Background location may be requested to keep live location active when enabled.
• Do not use Mapfrens for navigation, emergency response, or safety-critical decisions.

Chat & Messaging (Disclaimers)

• Delivery, order, and status of messages/typing indicators are not guaranteed.
• Message history may persist; deleted accounts may appear as "Mapfrens User."
• Do not send harmful, unlawful, or unwanted content.

Push Notifications

We use push notifications for messages, friend requests, proximity alerts, and important account updates. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.

Prohibited Behavior

Do not: circumvent blocks; harass or surveil using location; send malware; phish; share illegal content; or use the service if barred by law.

Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts with or without notice for violations, security risks, inactivity, or legal reasons. Soft-deleted accounts can be restored within the published window; after that, we may permanently delete them.

Intellectual Property

• Mapfrens owns its trademarks, branding, code, and provided assets.
• You retain rights to your content but grant Mapfrens a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and transmit it to operate the service.
• Do not use Mapfrens IP without permission.

Location, Maps, and Third-Party Services

• Map tiles and geocoding may be provided by Google Maps. Their terms apply to map usage.
• Map accuracy and availability are not guaranteed.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mapfrens disclaims warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Mapfrens is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, or for user conduct.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Mapfrens harmless from claims arising out of your use, content, or violations of these terms.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction and venue in courts in India.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated where practical.
